🇬🇧 Tomaso Albinoni’s original composition is in three-four time (three-quarter time). But The Doors play the Adagio in G Minor in four-four time (common time). This arrangement for solo guitar follows The Doors‘ version. To make it easier to play on the guitar, it’s not arranged in G Minor but E Minor.
🇬🇧 The Weeping Song: One of my alltime favorite songs by Nick Cave (along with Red Right Hand and Where The Wild Roses Grow). I’m so excited about the upcoming Wild God Tour since the last tour I had bought tickets for got postponed (2020) and then cancelled (2021) because of the pandemic. I recently (2024) revisited this Weeping Song solo guitar arrangement (originally from 2022) and revised it.

It’s quite scary to stand on a small table in a dark planetarium on 8cm highheels without any chance to see the edge. And then to play your guitar and deliver your song full of emotions although your feet hurt, you might fall any minute and you’re not a professional singer. I admit there were some tears involved.
